Raves from the Red Carpet

So it's been a little bit of time since I last did a beauty product review BUT the exciting news is that now my beauty reviews and makeup obsessed posts have a new home! Welcome to "A Sephora Addict's Journey Through Life" and YES, I'll probably be changing the name but the website will remain the same! http://makeupmadnessandbeautytoboot.blogspot.com

So I've come across a make up palette that quenches my desire for all things make up related. Let me introduce you to LORAC's Red Carpet Reveal Eye and Cheek Palette for $35 from Sephora:

And now let's hear what this self appointed beauty guru has to say:

As you already can tell, I love this color palette. I love the three eye shadows that work effortlessly from day until night and do not fail, smudge, or crease. With the sweep of a brush, if you want to go for a smoky eye, you can. Perfect for creating a day look (which is how I've been wearing these colors), it's also grand for wearing at night! For my day look, I've been putting the light shimmery color "Debut" right below my brow, the second color "Pose" I've been using right on my lids. The third darkest color, "Interview", I have been using to line my eyes and I also smudge it just a tad around the outer corner of my eyes.

The blush in this palette is just crazy beautiful! My only qualm about the blush, and it's a small one, but one that has to be talked about, is that you cannot put the blush straight from brush onto your cheeks without looking like a lady with too much blush on! I do put on some blushes without tapping the excess off, but this blush needs to have the excess tapped off because the color is beautiful but too much of it makes you look like a clown lady (or at least that's what I thought I looked like!).

My only other qualm about this palette and really, it's more of a personal preference but I would love it if it came with a lip gloss or stain. But like I said, that's my personal preference! I just feel if you have the cheeks and eyes down with beautiful colors, throw something in there for the lips too!

Overall, I give this color palette a five out of five lipsticks, which is my way of rating beauty products!

Have you tried this product? What is your opinion on it? What do you think of this review?
