It's the most wonderful champagne I have ever come across (and I don't even drink anymore!). Until now. I've actually been indulging in 'champagne' since I first found it at Sephora on Saturday night and now it's a daily thing ;) Wondering what on earth I'm talking about? Okay, I'll share :)
Cue photo of "Hello Flawless" from Benefit! Oh right, that's my job. Here ya go. Photo from link over that way <-------
I LOVE this make up. I have been searching high and low for a foundation powder that I can enjoy and reap the benefits of for quite some time (pun not intended). And low and behold, I've found it!
What the beauty junkies at sephora.com have to say:
"Hello Flawless!" SPF 15
What it is:
A custom powder cover-up with SPF protection for the face.
What it does:
Benefit "Hello Flawless!" SPF 15 is a blendable powder foundation with SPF 15 that goes on beautifully sheer and layers easily for customized coverage. Find your perfect shade and sweep it on with the accompanying brush for a sheer, natural finish; or apply with the sponge for full coverage or spot cover-up.
Size: 0.25 oz
And now what this beauty junkie (me) has to say:My favorite foundation powder to date. I use the "Me, vain? Champagne" color. I bet you didn't see that one coming! I had a hard time deciding which one to use until I color coded myself and this one literally blended into my skin without even having to blend it in! A wonderfully silky smooth matte finish this stays on for hours.*
This set comes with a brush and a sponge and is meant to be buildable coverage. I use this foundation with my Bare Minerals brush because the brush in the set (it all fits down underneath the powder) is not that great. It's really small and is not good to use for all over face. Actually, it's not the best thing to use period. I do love the sponge however as the sponge helps build foundation coverage. I have used it very lightly and also put on copious amounts just to let you know what I think. I love that it stays silky smooth through each application and that it doesn't look like makeup. It just looks like beautiful skin.
Add a little bronzer on top, some mascara, lip gloss, and you're set to go!
*It stays on longer when used in conjunction with a foundation primer.
Now go indulge in your champagne color or glass of bubbly if you so desire!
Please let me know what you think of this review!
Hey! I liked this post! I've been looking for a good foundation for winter time (I use Bare Essentials in the summer, but in the winter,my skin is too dry for powder). Anyways, this little tidbit is just what I needed! I need some new foundation primer, coincidentally, so while I'm down at (you guessed it) Sephora, I do think I shall pick this up!

Well, I do see this is a powder (duh) but it doesn't appear to be quite as loose, which is what I have the trouble with. Let me know what you think about that and dry winter sky! :)
ReplyDeleteI use two different foundations, one in the summer and one in the winter (and of course, the corresponding months).
ReplyDeleteThis is the powder foundation I use in the warmer months. The one that I LOVE for winter time is Make Up For Ever High Definition Foundation. I use #117 and use their Duo Mat Powder Foundation as a powder to just dust on.
The High Definition foundation is a liquid and only a tiny drop will cover your whole face! And since it's Hi-Def (thinking of a tv? yeah, me too!) it's great for parties, weddings, or when you want to take a good picture. :) When you use the right amount (seriously, probably a dime size or smaller) it's invisible but corrects and diminishes the imperfections. And, of course, it feels like you're wearing nothing at all!
For primer, try Laura Mercier's foundation primer (it's wonderful and goes on your skin like buttah ;) or try Bare Escentual's Prime Time Primer (also, Smashbox has a great "Photo Finishing Foundation Primer" one too or try Laura Geller's Spackle primer). BE and Smashbox's primer have an ingredient (which I've spaced out on now) that helps to fill the spaces (pores) in your face for a smoother look. Laura Mercier's primer doesn't have that.
Wow, I've written a lot about primer and foundation in this comment. I'm going to write a post soon (maybe today?) about eye shadow primer and the one that will change your life forever! :)
This is awesome! Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteSorry, since the post was down so far, I didn't notice you responded until I saw your comment to my other comment! But looks like a trip to Sephora is in the works for this weekend! I'll let you know what I pick up!
