The One Product That Will Change Your Life FOREVER!

I may seem to be a bit over dramatic with my blog title. But I'm not. Seems so, yes. But in reality, that's all the truth. And nothing but the truth so help me God!

Do you wear make up? EVER? What about eyeshadow? Ever get annoyed that your eyeshadow doesn't last all day? Ever have it happen where you put your eye shadow on in such a spectacular way that you just want to keep it in time? But then, it fades away by 10am OR if it doesn't it creases like mad in the crease of the way and there's a ton of product there and all you want to do is crawl under your desk because how can there be so much eyeshadow in ONE place on my eye when I didn't put it there? Then please, please, PLEASE keep reading!

I have found the best most awesome product ever! And I do mean it. This will become a daily staple in your makeup box just like Chapstick or in my case, Vaseline. :)

Let me introduce you ladies to Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion for $17 (from Sephora):

Eyeshadow Primer Potion

Here's what the beauty gurus at Sephora have to say about this product:

Eyeshadow Primer Potion
What it is:
The industry standard for eyeshadow primer!

What it does:
Packaged in a precious, genie-like bottle, Eyeshadow Primer Potion is an ultra-sheer, totally nude eye base that glides on with the wave of a wand and then disappears instantly. It's the ultimate eye prep for smoother, more vibrant shadow and all-day wear, with absolutely no creasing. Now with a new and improved bent wand!

And here's what this beauty guru has to say:

I love this product. Betcha didn't know that, did you?! I actually have given this product as Christmas gifts to best friends (along with a certain Nars blush too). And they, have fallen in love with it as well.

The marketing and name for this product is ingenious and I totally fall for it. Genie bottle as the packaging and potion for the name. I'm in. But I also fell in love with the actual product.

Applying this to your (whole) eyelid before you put on eyeshadow will make your shadow stay on longer than ever (all day long!) and there will be NO creasing. Seriously. None.

What I do when I apply this product is smear it on the back of my hand, and then apply it to my eyelids. This makeup technique just helps me control how much of the primer I put on my lids and where.

They have two awesome shades, one the original, a sheer shade that won't be seen once put on the eyelid. The second shade, is called "Sin" and can actually be used as an eyeshadow as well since it's a shimmering champagne color. I'm not a fan of the "Sin" color but I have tried it and it does work as well as the original. I just happen to prefer the original shade. :)

I do have one qualm, and it's one that I can live with. I do NOT like the 'new and improved bent wand'! I used to be able to put the product right on my eyelids with the old wand and now I can't seem to be able to get the hang of it. But, like I said, a qualm I can live with.

This product definitely gets five out of five lipsticks (my rating system!).

Have you tried this product? Do you love as much as me? Maybe more? Have you tried this eyeshadow primer and not liked it? I would love to know! Feel free to comment! I'd love to hear your opinions! :)

  1. I got the Sin in my twiced baked palatte, and do love the Sin color. But I gotta tell you (and I'm ready for your rebuff), I'm a bigger fan of the Two Faced eye shadow primer. (The horrors, I know!)

But! I will say this to you! Eye shadow primer in general really is "the one product that will change your life forever!" I really believe your statement, and don't know how I was ever living before! Although the crawling under the desk may be a little extreme! ;)

  2. So I don't have much to say about the Too Faced eye shadow primer aka "Shadow Insurance". The reason? I have (GASP) never tried it! You may have found the one eye shadow primer I have never tried! :)

But, I will give up time this weekend to go to Sephora and try their eye shadow primer. All in the name of research! :)

I'm kinda actually scared to go in there because of all the holiday goodies and the fact that I can't resist color palettes and holiday wrapping.
